Ok. All my razzing about the cold and snowy weather in Ottawa has come back to bite me. The weather guy finally got it right for once in Central Florida and it is officially cold here! Well, by Florida standards anyway, at least for 2 nights. We got down into the upper 30Fs last night but not freezing. It cooled off throughout the day yesterday. We sat outside reading under our awning while it rained. Chris did a little baking too which was delicious. Then she decided it was time to clean up the palace. The central vacuum works very well and it didn't take too long either. Buddy looked like he needed some whitening too, so I gave him a bath in the shower. He sure looks funny when wet!
We did manage to play pickleball yesterday afternoon and hope to get in a match or two today as well. May be playing in sweat pants though.
The painting Chris is holding is of a hummingbird she did here at an art class last week and the baking is a tray of cinnamon biscuits which were very yummy.
We walked around the park last night and could see many open sites in the lower meadow area. I suspect many coaches will be heading out this week as the kids go back to school. Apparently the influx of snowbirds will begin now. We are still hoping to get back into Wauchula Feb 3-10th if we can arrange it. That is the only week of our winter stay, where we do not yet have a reservation anywhere. No space available here right now at that time, but cancelations are not unusual, and we can book online which is very handy with our mobile internet connection.
