Valentine's Day

We enjoyed a great brunch at the Jacaranda Motor Hotel in Avon Park, Fl after pickleball yesterday morning. Fifty people staying at TT Peace River drove over to try their fare. Of course we had to play pickleball again after we got back, just to burn off all those calories. Lots of fun with great friends.


Last night, TT Peace River held the second annual Newly Weds Game night in the meeting hall. Six couples took the stage. All the men were asked a series of questions while their partners were out of the room. The ladies then came back to answer the same questions posed to their husbands. Right answers were awarded points. Then the roles were switched and the men left the room while their partners answered more questions. Teams were awarded more points if the man's answer was correct. The winning couple was Bill and Sherry Roberts with 70 points. Jim and Jane Rankin came second while Bob and Cathy Hughes finished in 3rd place. The game was well attended with about 60 people taking in the comedy of events. Some of the answers were quite funny for sure and it was quite evident that some couples knew each other better than others. Debbie did an excellent job as game show hostess. Prizes and gift certificates were awarded to the winners with consolation prizes for all other participants.

Jane pulled a bit of a quick one on Jim. Everyone there knew those two would be one of the couples, except Jim! He only found out when Debbie announced it to the crowd. Way to go Jim and thanks for being a good sport, Batman!
