Thanksgiving Weekend

Sorry for the lack of postings recently. We headed off to Hanover and Kincardine, Ontario last Sunday. It was a quick trip between Chris's shifts. We had a very enjoyable time with family and a super meal hosted by the Shearers. All in all a very pleasant holiday. We also picked up our 14 year old Bichon Frise and brought him back to Ottawa. He had been livig in Hanover ever since we sold the house at the end of June. Thank you Karen and John for looking after Buddy so well.

We are now living in our Bounder at the farm where we stored it all summer. Everything is functioning well and we are all set for our departure on October 30th. Only wrinkle is that we do not have an internet connection at the farm, so that is the reason for no blog updates.

Chris is working today and I have a two day photography workshop to attend at Algonquin College beginning today. That means Buddy is in charge of the motorhome! Actually, our hosts at the farm are looking after Buddy today. They have a 3 year old German Sheperd who gets along very well with Buddy. The size difference is hilarious though.

Managed to get a few pictures while over in Hanover, Kincardine area and also on the way back. The first is of the lighthouse and harbour in Kincardine. The second is a sunset over Lake Huron from the pier in Kincardine. The last one is of a river at a picnic area we stopped at on the way back to Ottawa. Not far from Kinmount, Ontario. I set up the camera on my tripod and opened the shutter for a few seconds. That is why the water is blurred and streaky while the rock in mid stream with the leaves on it is in focus. I thought the effect is quite good. What do you think? Please let me know in the comments.
