Back In Orlando Until Mar 10th

We packed up this morning after a restless night, our last a Peace River, at least for the next 3 weeks anyway. With the front air conditioner not working, it was pretty warm in the motorhome last night, making sleeping a little difficult.

Peace River had its usual Monday morning pickleball tournament today, but decided to pass and get packed up instead so we could be on the road as soon as possible. We have the setup and take down routines pretty much nailed now. Chris looks after the inside and I look after the outside. Then, when we are all done we check each other's areas, just to make sure we didn't forget anything.

We took Hwy 17 north out of Peace River this time, before eventually hitting Hwy 27. We saw some areas we hadn't seen before, including the Peace River Citrus Company. There must have been 40 commercial trucks waiting to unload what looked like grapefruit, possibly for juicing.

We took site G-32 when we got to Orlando, but the site was sloped too much for us to be able to level out the motorhome. The auto-leveller started sounding an error alarm and wouldn't reset. We returned to the office and managed to get site A-128 which was dead flat. We drove over to our new site with the alarm still sounding (incorrectly, that our jacks were still down). Once backed into the new site, I pulled out the manuals and also searched the internet for the steps to reset our auto-leveller. We were all set up in about an hour, and things appear to be back to normal.

I called a local mobile RV repair service about our air conditioner malfunction too. They are prepared to fix it on Friday but we will have to pay the bill up front and then claim it back on warranty from Fleetwood. Today is President's Day, so no one is working at Fleetwood. I'll call Fleetwood tomorrow just to confirm they are alright with this. If all goes well, it will save us a 70 mile drive to Lazydays in Tampa on Friday to have repairs made.

We were all set up by 4 pm, which left us plenty of time to play pickleball. Only four of us showed up to play, likely because the weather appeared quite threatening. We had some great games and managed to get off the courts before the skies opened up.

So here we are for 3 weeks....... Park is pretty full, but there are still some empty spots here and there.
