Peace River Photos

Before we left Peace River, we attend a couple of events. The first was an acrobatic show put on by a traveling couple. Thousand Trails took down the nets on the pickleball courts to give the pair enough room to perform. The acrobatics and juggling were quite good. They also had three small dogs performing tricks which went over quite well too. It was a little hot out that day but we managed to watch from the shade of a near by tree.

The Sunday before we left, a bunch of us celebrated Rich Donald's 59th and Jane Rankin's 35th ( + a few more years!!!!) birthdays. It turned into a Mexican pot luck luncheon with birthday cake for dessert. There must have been 30 people seated around Donald's trailer site. Lots of good fun and great food.
The highlight of the afternoon was when Jessie and her husband, both from Ohio, brought over their dulcimers for a little jam session. We had never seen or heard of these instruments and found the sound to be very enjoyable and quite unique. Jessie plays a lap model while her husband plays a hammer dulcimer. Two very talented individuals for sure.
I managed to contact Fleetwood yesterday by telephone. They agreed to allow Camping Connection Mobile RV Service to repair our front air conditioner. They will come right to our site on Friday afternoon to do the repairs. I pay them and then send the bill to Fleetwood for reimbursement. That works out perfectly for us and saves us the time and fuel driving into Lazydays in Tampa to have it fixed.
We have a general service appointment with Lazydays on March 6th anyway. While on the telephone, Fleetwood also advised of two recalls that needed to be done on our Bounder. One for brake boots and the other for a newer and more improved power leveller controller board. I called Lazydays to add those to our list of required repairs and the service agent was not even aware these Fleetwood recalls existed! Hopefully, all will go well when do get to Tampa in early March.
I've come down with a sore throat that has been hanging on for 2-3 days now. We played pickleball last night for 3 hours in cooler temperatures than we have been playing, so that likely won't speed up the healing process.
We took Buddy for a nice long walk this morning after hearing the double sonic boom from the Space Shuttle Atlantis as it came in for a landing at the Kennedy Space Centre just after 9 am. Couldn't see the shuttle in the sky though, which was unfortunate, but we watched the landing on TV. Tonight, there is supposed to be a lunar eclipse at 8:15 pm so we are hoping for clear skies during our evening walk with Buddy. We just might get a few pictures.
