Dropped Chris at work last night and then headed to the Rockcliff Yacht Club on the Ottawa River located behind the runway at the Aviation Museum. I wanted to play around with the settings on my new Canon EOS Rebel XSi digital camera and try to get some good sunset shots. I went for a stroll along the river path and used the boats moored at the yacht club as my subjects. One thing I soon discovered is that as the sun (and day light) disappears, it soon becomes very difficult to hold the camera steady enough for razor sharp photos. Looks like a tripod will be my next purchase. I cropped some of these pictures using Photoshop Elements 6 and also played with the light levels to make the sunsets as vivid as possible.
